Abaco and its client NVIDIA were presented with the coveted 2000 MOBY Award for Manufacturing from Mobile Insights. The award honors the best and finest in the implementation and use of mobile computing and data communications technologies. Winners were selected based on innovation, impact on user's business and robustness.

Total Solution Provider Award
Abaco was honored with the 2000 Total Solution Provider Award from AIM and Business Solutions magazine. The award was given on the basis of innovative wireless installation for an Abaco project in which it automated a mobile solution using Abaco Varadero in less than two months.

Microsoft Pocket PC Launch Partner
Abaco was the only enterprise software company Microsoft featured at its Pocket PC Launch. Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, and SAP Executive Board Member, Peter Zencke, demonstrated an application built with Abaco Varadero for Husky Oil.
"This application is amazing. It was developed using the Varadero technology from Abaco, and it was developed by a solution provider, Fin Tech," said Steve Ballmer, Microsoft Chief Executive Officer. "What's amazing about it is that this application was developed -- designed and developed and ready to go out into production in one week."

SAP selected Abaco Varadero as its Preferred Partner Platform for implementing global operational standards for mobile business solutions. The Mobile Computing Cooperative Agreement for Joint Development means that SAP and Abaco customers will enjoy closely integrated systems through the most advanced complementary solutions.

First Wireless Certification for SAP Business Connector
Abaco was awarded the first SAP Wireless Interface Certification for XML communication with the SAP Business Connector. The Business Connector is an XML-based standard component within the SAP Internet Business Framework that moves information into and out of business applications.
