Alan J. Taetle, 37, is a General Partner at Noro-Moseley Partners. Alan evaluates investment opportunities in the information technology area. He actively works with a number of Noro-Moseley portfolio companies. He currently serves on the board of Novient, Inc., egulliver.com, Secureworks, Abaco Inc. and Adjoined Technologies. Alan also chairs the Internet Advisory Board of Choicepoint, Inc., a NYSE company focused on providing information that helps companies make educated, intelligent choices to reduce risk and fraud. Alan is a regular columnist on venture capital investing in DigitalSouth magazine and a member of the corporate advisory board for the University of Michigan. Prior to Noro-Moseley, Alan was MindSpring Enterprise's Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. He joined the Company as its Vice President of Business Development in March of 1995 and then became the Vice President of Marketing in September of 1996. Mr. Taetle received a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Kevin has extensive business building experience and a long track record of developing innovative technologies into successful enterprises. Prior to founding Benchmark, Kevin was founder, president and CEO of Approach Software where he led the development of the world's first end-user client/server database for Windows. Approach was purchased by Lotus Development in 1993. Before founding Approach, Kevin founded Styleware and pioneered integrated software for the Apple II personal computer. Styleware was purchased by Claris Corporation where Kevin's team created ClarisWorks, one of the best-selling software programs for the Macintosh. Kevin's Board seats include Abaco, Inc., Allegis, Ashford.com, Broadbase Software, Collab.net Critical Path, Keen.com, Red Hat, Software and Tellme. His other investments include Mazu Networks, RemarQ Communities (acquired by Critical Path) and When.com (acquired by America Online). Kevin has a BSEE degree from Rice University, 1987. |
