mDSD – Mobile Direct Store Delivery is an optional component in a Direct Store Delivery scenario.  It provides an alternative to having your sales representatives and delivery drivers write all data down on paper while they are on their tour and enter it into the system when they return to the warehouse.  It supports mobile workers in preseller, delivery driver, and van sales roles. 

• Order Processing via WEX: Standard mDSD order processing relies in “end of day” synchronization to update the backend systems.  Unlike the standard solution, Order processing via WEX allows the orders to be transmitted upon demand, periodically during the day without requiring a return to the warehouse.    Instead of working on an avalanche of orders all coming at the end of the shift, orders can be prepared as received and loads can be staged for the next day resulting in increase resource efficiency and reduced labor costs.
  
  
• Enhanced Deal Conditions Workflow: The Enhanced Deal Conditions Workflow allows manual discounts and promotions to be carried across from the pre-seller to the delivery driver.  This enables the implementation of grant/verify steps as well as removes restrictions found in combined mobile scenarios resulting in  increase visibility across the sales cycle and improved customer service. 
  
  
• Vending Machine extensions: Additional data scope to the standard application now enables the driver to capture vending counters and test vends as well as identifies vending machine location.
  
  
• Pricing Exclusions Groups & Procedures: Enhanced interface and data scope enables support of exclusion groups and procedures in the Mobile Device continuing with the flexibility of the pricing engine and reducing the need to maintain multiple pricing logic and procedures.
